Teen dies after being struck Clinton County hit-and-run.

A tragic incident occurred in Clinton County over the weekend, resulting in the death of a 16-year-old male who was struck in a hit and run. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office reported that on Sunday, just before 3 a.m., deputies were called to the scene where they found an unresponsive teenager who had been hit by a vehicle.
Initial investigations revealed that the 16-year-old, identified as Reese East from Rossville, was walking along the westbound side of US 421 when he was struck by a driver travelling southbound. The driver fled the scene, leaving the teenager in critical condition.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, Reese East succumbed to his injuries on Monday. The police are now on the lookout for the suspect vehicle, which is believed to have sustained damage to the front end and passenger side.
