Angered by his father’s insistence that he report to work, a 19-year-old man tragically jumped to his death from the terrace of a 22-storey building in the Kandivali area of Mumbai, according to police reports on Tuesday.

Tragic Turn of Events

The teenager, identified as Pratham Krishna Naik, was employed at a local pizza shop in a nearby mall, as confirmed by an official spokesperson.

“Naik failed to show up for work on Monday, prompting his father to receive a concerning call. Upon searching for his son, the father found Naik at the Dahanukarwadi metro station late at night. Questioning his absence from work, the father directed Naik to head to the pizza shop,” the Kandivli police station official revealed.

Incensed by his father’s reprimand, the young man impulsively made his way to the top of the high-rise building and tragically leapt to his death, the official added.

Immediate Response

Following the discovery of Naik’s lifeless body by residents of the building, emergency services were summoned, and Naik was swiftly transported to a nearby medical facility. Tragically, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
