In a series of events spanning multiple days, a man from Plymouth has been arrested on charges related to a domestic incident. The incident occurred on Friday, June 21st, at approximately 11:30 pm, when Plymouth Police received a call from the 100 block of North Liberty Street. The caller reported seeing a woman with a severe cut on her forehead, which was bleeding profusely.
Upon arriving at the scene, Officer Schieber found the victim and immediately arranged for her to be taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. It was determined that the injuries sustained by the victim were the result of a physical altercation in a domestic setting. Despite efforts to locate the other party involved in the incident, the individual could not be found at the time.
The following morning, on June 22nd, city police officers were able to locate and apprehend the suspect, who has been identified as Kelly Cowger, a 41-year-old man from Plymouth. Cowger was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail for further processing.
Upon booking, Cowger was charged with felony domestic battery causing moderate bodily harm, as well as strangulation and misdemeanor intimidation. He is currently being held on a cash bond of £1,500. It is important to note that the charges against Cowger are based on allegations supported by an affidavit of probable cause. It is essential to remember that individuals are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
