In a recent development, the Page County Sheriff’s Office in Luray, Virginia, confirmed that the human remains discovered on May 8 have been positively identified as those of Joshua Dee Bradford. Bradford, who had been missing since September 2022, was finally located after a long search.
Last year, WHSV had the opportunity to speak with Bradford’s mother, Tammie Givens, who was tirelessly seeking answers regarding her son’s disappearance. Givens expressed the emotional journey she had been through, stating that while it was a difficult day when she learned about her son’s remains, there was also a sense of relief knowing that he had been found.
Reflecting on Bradford’s character, Givens described him as a caring individual who was dedicated to his work and deeply loved his daughter, Haley. She emphasised that he cherished life and brought joy to those around him.
The case took a significant turn with the arrest of Marcus Lee Lewis, who has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to Bradford’s death. Lewis, currently in custody in Reno, Nevada, for his involvement in a separate incident, is awaiting extradition back to Virginia to face the charges.
Givens expressed her anguish over the loss of her son and the impact it has had on her family. She highlighted the void left by Bradford’s absence, especially for his daughter, who longs for her father’s presence in important milestones of her life.
To support Bradford’s family during this difficult time, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to assist with the funeral expenses. The community has rallied around the family, offering their condolences and support in honour of Bradford’s memory.
As the legal proceedings unfold, Givens remains steadfast in seeking justice for her son and ensuring that Lewis is held accountable for his actions. She is determined to confront the individual responsible for her son’s untimely death and hopes that the legal system will deliver the justice her family deserves.
