Montgomery police have initiated a homicide investigation after the discovery of a body earlier today in the 2100 block of Plum Street.
Major Saba Coleman informed Action 8 News that officers and fire medics were dispatched around 12:50 p.m. Upon arrival, they found an adult male victim with a fatal gunshot wound. Tragically, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The suspect, identified as 65-year-old Kevin Chase from Montgomery, has been charged with murder. Chase was swiftly apprehended and is currently detained at the Montgomery County Detention Facility without bond.
Major Coleman stated that the victim’s identity will not be disclosed until his next of kin has been notified.
