Gedrick Rodillas : “4 Arrested for Fatal Manila Attack”

Four individuals, including two minors, have been apprehended by the Manila Police District (MPD) for their involvement in the brutal beating and stabbing of a man in Makati City. The incident, which took place on December 1, 2023, resulted in the tragic death of the victim.

The suspects have been identified as Gedrick Rodillas and Aj Atienza, both 18 years old. Additionally, two minors who were also implicated in the crime have been taken into custody.

Arrest Warrant Issued

The arrest of Rodillas and Atienza was made possible by the diligent work of the Warrant and Intelligence Section under MPD Sta. Ana Police Station (PS-6). A warrant of arrest for the charge of murder, dated June 13, 2024, was issued by Hon. Cristina Sulit, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 140 in Makati City. The warrant specified that no bail should be recommended for the suspects.

Stabbing Incident Details

According to MPD, the stabbing incident occurred on P. Ocampo Street in Barangay La Paz, Makati City, at 8:20 p.m. on the fateful day. The victim, who was meeting a female acquaintance at a gasoline station, was ambushed by a group of individuals who proceeded to assault him, resulting in three stab wounds.

Investigations revealed that Rodillas’ girlfriend, identified as Shenshen, had discovered messages on her phone indicating that the victim had been in contact with another woman named Asley. Enraged by jealousy, Rodillas orchestrated the meeting between his girlfriend and the victim, leading to the violent altercation.
