Authorities in North Las Vegas have located a suspect in connection with a tragic shooting incident that occurred on Monday night, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and leaving a teenage girl critically injured. The suspect has been identified as 47-year-old Eric Adams.
The incident took place at an apartment complex on Casa Norte Drive, where police responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered two women, aged in their early 40s and late 50s, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Tragically, both women were pronounced dead at the scene.
Further investigation by detectives at the scene led to the discovery of a 13-year-old girl who had also been shot and was in critical condition. The young girl was rushed to University Medical Center in Las Vegas for urgent medical treatment.
Additionally, authorities found three more victims at a nearby apartment, including two women in their mid-20s and a man in his early 20s, all of whom had been shot and pronounced dead by medical personnel. The identities of the victims, as well as the details of their causes and manners of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Following an intensive search, the suspect, Eric Adams, was located and apprehended. Police have assured the public that Adams is no longer a threat to the community. However, authorities have not yet disclosed a potential motive for the tragic incident.
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward and assist in bringing justice to the victims and their families. The North Las Vegas Police Department has not provided further details at this time.
