LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5/Gray News) – A tragic shooting incident unfolded at a North Las Vegas apartment complex, resulting in the death of five people and the injury of a teenage girl.
According to a report by KVVU, the North Las Vegas Police Department received a distress call from an apartment complex in the 300 block of Casa Norte Drive around 10 p.m. on Monday.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered two women, one in her early 40s and the other in her late 50s, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save them, both women were pronounced dead at the scene.
In addition to the two deceased women, detectives found two young women in their mid-20s and a man in his early 20s who had also been shot and killed. The tragic incident also left a 13-year-old girl critically injured, and she was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The suspect, identified as 47-year-old Eric Adams, attempted to flee the scene but was eventually located by law enforcement officers. Adams, who was armed, refused to surrender and tragically took his own life in a nearby backyard.
The North Las Vegas community is in mourning following this devastating incident, and authorities are working diligently to piece together the events that led to such a senseless act of violence.
