HYDERABAD: A 13-year-old girl has been the victim of multiple sexual assaults and rapes by a group of individuals in Neredmet, Hyderabad, as reported by the police on Tuesday. The survivor’s mother lodged a complaint at Kachiguda Police Station on Monday, leading to the filing of a case and the commencement of an investigation.
Subhash, the sub-inspector at Kachiguda Police Station, disclosed, “Yesterday, the victim’s mother filed a complaint against five individuals. The girl, a resident of Kachiguda, has a boyfriend residing in Neredmet. The boyfriend frequently took her out on his bike, and one day, he allegedly sexually assaulted her in Neredmet.”
“Afterwards, he introduced her to his friends who also assaulted her sexually. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway,” added the police official.
In a separate incident, an 18-year-old youth named Chandu reportedly raped a 5-year-old girl in Narasaraopeta, a town in the Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh. The parents of the girl lodged a complaint with the Narasaraopet rural police station on Monday, resulting in the registration of a case under the POCSO Act against the accused.
Rossayya, the sub-inspector in Narasaraopet rural, mentioned that the accused is currently on the run, and authorities are actively trying to locate him.
