Accident – Death – Obituary News : Mohali: In a swift and efficient operation, Mohali police at Lalru have cracked a blind murder case within just five hours of the crime taking place. Four individuals, identified as Subhash, Sunil alias Sonu, Naveen alias Chabeela, and Naveen alias Mania, all hailing from Hansi in Haryana, have been arrested on charges of killing a 22-year-old man named Bittu.
SP (rural) Manpreet Singh stated that the accused were presented before a court on Monday and have been remanded to police custody for further investigation. The incident came to light when Randhir from Hansi contacted the police on June 23, reporting that his son, along with his maternal uncle Randhir and friends Sunil alias Sonu, Naveen, and Naveen, had travelled to Chandigarh in Subhash’s car on June 22.
The altercation leading to the murder occurred around 4 am on June 23 at a dhaba in Sarsini village under Lalru police station. Bittu was brutally killed using bricks, after which the four accused transported his body to the civil hospital in Ambala and abandoned it near the mortuary before fleeing the scene.
The Lalru police sprang into action upon receiving the alert and formed multiple teams, successfully tracking down the culprits within a remarkably short span of five hours. While the exact motive behind the heinous crime is still under investigation, sources within the Lalru police department suggest that it may have stemmed from a personal dispute.
In a separate and unrelated incident, the remains of a Nepalese individual were discovered under mysterious circumstances in Bishanpura, Zirakpur. The police were alerted by neighbours who detected a foul odour emanating from a closed residence. Upon entering the premises, law enforcement officers found the decomposed body of a 35-year-old man named Santosh, originally from Nepal and residing in Bishanpura on rent. The body has been sent for postmortem examination at the government hospital in Derabassi, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of death.
In yet another tragic occurrence, a 25-year-old man named Lakhan Chopra was found deceased under unclear circumstances in his residence in Sector 27. The victim, a resident of Sector 27, was pronounced dead on Monday. Law enforcement officials are actively probing the case to determine the circumstances surrounding his untimely demise.
The police have initiated thorough inquiries in both cases, interviewing witnesses, landlords, and neighbours to gather additional information. These incidents highlight the crucial role of law enforcement in swiftly resolving crimes and bringing perpetrators to justice, ensuring the safety and security of the community..
