Accident – Death – Obituary News : A tragic incident unfolded in St. Clair County, Alabama, as a local Baptist church became the site of two separate crashes within a few days, leading to devastating consequences for both individuals involved.
The first crash occurred last Thursday around 1:30 a.m. when Riverside officials responded to a report of a fire at the church. The fire had quickly spread throughout the building, prompting a defensive operation by the Riverside Fire and Rescue Service. Crews battled the blaze through the night and into the early hours of the morning. It was determined that the vehicle had crashed into the church’s basement after veering off the road, approximately 40 miles east of Birmingham.
Tragically, the remains found inside the vehicle belonged to 19-year-old Anthony Banks Jr., as confirmed by the authorities.
In a bizarre twist of fate, just three days later, Banks’ girlfriend, Jennefer L. Arellano Maldonado, found herself in a similar predicament. In the early hours of Sunday morning, she crashed into the same church while attempting to evade the police. Reports indicated that she collided with a brick wall, causing her car to catch fire. Arellano Maldonado was driving a stolen 2019 BMW X5, allegedly taken from her aunt.
Sadly, the outcome was equally tragic for Arellano Maldonado, as she was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
