Afsar Khan : 25-Year-Old Man Dead, 30 Injured in Kamareddy Bus-Lorry Crash

A tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday in Kamareddy district, Telangana, when a private bus collided with a lorry near Kyasampalli. The collision resulted in the death of a 25-year-old man and left 30 others with varying degrees of injuries, according to the local police.

Inspector Raju of Devanpally Police Station provided details of the accident, stating that the collision took place at 3 am when the bus struck the lorry from behind.

Details of the Incident

“The accident occurred at 3 am today. The private travel buses and lorries were moving in the same direction. The lorry suddenly slowed down and was hit by a bus from behind. Tragically, one person lost their life, identified as Afsar Khan, aged 25. The injured passengers have been transported to Kamareddy General Hospital and Nizamabad Hospital for treatment,” Inspector Raju explained.

The case is currently under investigation, and further information is awaited as authorities work to determine the cause of the collision.

This unfortunate incident in Kamareddy adds to a series of similar accidents that have occurred in recent months across India. Last month, a collision between an omnibus and a lorry on the Chennai – Trichy Highway resulted in four fatalities and 15 injuries in Tamil Nadu’s Madhuranthangam.
