Accident – Death – Obituary News :

The Stamford Police Department announced on Monday that they have completed their investigation into 18-year-old Tyssan Woods. The investigation began after Woods was arrested by Waterbury police on March 28 and was later identified as a person of interest in Stamford.

On March 26, a carjacking took place at Hospital Plaza in Stamford, where a Lexus was stolen at gunpoint. Following this incident, two armed carjackings were reported on March 28.

The first carjacking occurred at around 5:30 a.m. in the 130 block of Tresser Boulevard. A man driving his blue Audi to a nearby gym was followed by another car and stopped at gunpoint by a group of men who then drove off with his vehicle. The second carjacking occurred approximately 10 minutes later at the Gulf gas station on East Main Street near the entrance to I-95.

A group of thieves arrived in what police believe was the stolen blue Audi and several suspects armed with handguns stole a man’s Maserati. The stolen cars were later recovered in Waterbury and processed for evidence.

According to police, investigators collected digital and forensic evidence at the scenes linking Woods to these crimes. As a result, two arrest warrants were issued for Woods, charging him with first-degree robbery, first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree threatening, first-degree burglary, unlawful discharge of firearms, robbery involving an occupied motor vehicle, and several conspiracy charges. The combined bond for these charges was set at $750,000, and Woods remains in custody with the Connecticut Department of Correction.

The Stamford Police Department expressed their gratitude to the Connecticut State Police, the Waterbury Police Department, and the Stamford State’s Attorney’s Office for their assistance in this case.
