PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit of the Prince George’s County Police Department is currently investigating a tragic three-vehicle collision involving a dump truck that occurred in Beltsville on Friday.

At approximately 2:40 p.m. on June 21, authorities responded to the scene of the accident near the intersection of Old Gunpowder Road and Sinope Way. Initial reports indicate that the incident took place in the northbound lanes of Old Gunpowder Road.

The driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash has been identified as 41-year-old Tamecka Allen from Springfield. Tragically, Ms. Allen was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

Fortunately, the passengers as well as the drivers of the other vehicles, including the dump truck, sustained injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening by medical personnel on the scene.

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit of the Prince George’s County Police Department are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information regarding the incident to come forward and provide their account.
