Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Authorities in Lincoln have apprehended 23-year-old Roscoe Schroeder, a resident of the city, in relation to two separate incidents involving robbery, stolen vehicles, and the possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Schroeder faces a total of six charges, including distribution of a hazardous drug, theft by unlawful taking, and robbery.

The first incident took place on June 6, when police were conducting an investigation near Superior Street and Cornhusker Highway. The location was identified as a known hotspot for drug transactions.

During their surveillance, officers observed Schroeder leaving the premises and waiting for a ride. He was eventually picked up, leading the authorities on a pursuit through the streets of Lincoln.

The chase came to an end on North 44th Street and Madison Avenue, where Schroeder was seen in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Despite police commands to stop, the driver continued to rev the engine and display erratic behavior.

At one point, an investigator drew their service weapon as Schroeder physically assaulted the driver and attempted to flee the scene in the stolen vehicle.

After a brief altercation, Schroeder managed to drive the vehicle a short distance before abandoning the driver and making his escape.

Following this incident, Schroeder remained at large until June 21, when he was spotted at a gas station near North 10th and Charleston Streets in another stolen vehicle.

Police believe Schroeder was involved in a drug deal at the gas station and subsequently located him and his companion at a different location along Adams Street.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a significant quantity of methamphetamine, fentanyl pills, drug paraphernalia, and forged checks amounting to $5,875.

Authorities suspect that Schroeder evaded the initial stop to avoid drug charges and stole the second vehicle from a woman who he considered to be like a mother to him.

Both Schroeder and his companion were taken into custody, with the woman cited for possession of a controlled substance.

At his arraignment on Monday, a judge in Lancaster County set Schroeder’s bond at 10% of $50,000 across both cases. He is scheduled to appear in court again on July 22.
