A shocking incident occurred in West Haven, Connecticut, early Saturday morning when a man was caught trying to drown his children on a beach. The man, identified as 41-year-old Romney Desronvil from Queens, New York, was taken into police custody after a police officer patrolling near Ocean Avenue and Dawson Avenue noticed an SUV on the beach around 2:30 a.m.
The officer heard screams coming from the beach and approached to investigate. He saw Desronvil in the water with two young children, and as he got closer, Desronvil allegedly tried to drift further away with the children while screaming at the officer to stay back.
