The woman, identified as Preeti Uma Bharti, was reportedly driven to this drastic action due to ongoing arguments within her family. A mobile video captured the harrowing moment as she stood on the edge of the balcony before plunging to the ground below. Despite efforts from onlookers to intervene and stop her, she went ahead with her fatal decision.
Upon impact, Preeti immediately lost consciousness and was rushed to a hospital in Mumbai for treatment. The Manpada police have launched an investigation into the incident to understand the circumstances leading up to the suicide attempt.

This recent incident follows another tragic suicide case in Dombivli, where a 57-year-old government officer took his own life by jumping from the tenth floor of his residence in an upscale housing society. The man, who resided in Kasar Estate in Palava City, had been grappling with intense grief following the untimely death of his wife in an accident.
According to police officials, the man had been struggling to cope with the loss of his wife, expressing a deep desire to join her in death. Despite the passage of several months since her passing, his emotional turmoil persisted, ultimately leading to the fateful decision to end his own life.
The society’s security guard discovered the man’s lifeless body after hearing a loud thud, prompting immediate action from the family and authorities. Despite efforts to save him, the man succumbed to his injuries before receiving medical treatment.
These tragic incidents serve as stark reminders of the importance of mental health awareness and support in communities, urging individuals to seek help and intervention when facing overwhelming challenges.
