A heart-wrenching incident unfolded in the Siddheshwar Nagar area of Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh as a 22-year-old woman, identified as Kajal, was tragically shot dead just hours before her wedding. The perpetrator of this heinous act was her alleged lover, who, in a fit of rage, took the life of the young woman in a shocking turn of events.

The unfortunate incident took place at a local salon where Kajal was preparing for her special day alongside her sisters and other female family members. The accused, in a disturbing display of possessiveness, arrived at the salon and demanded Kajal to come out, accusing her of betraying his love. When Kajal refused to comply, he forcefully entered the salon and fired a fatal shot at her chest, leading to her critical condition.

Despite being rushed to Jhansi Medical College for urgent medical attention, Kajal tragically succumbed to her injuries during treatment, leaving her family and community in shock and grief. The Jhansi Police swiftly responded to the incident, registering an FIR and initiating a manhunt to apprehend the perpetrator responsible for this senseless act of violence.

SSP Jhansi, S Rajesh, shed light on the relationship between the victim and the accused, revealing that they hailed from the same village in Madhya Pradesh’s Datia district and were acquainted with each other prior to the tragic events in Jhansi. He assured the public of the authorities’ commitment to bringing the perpetrator to justice, emphasising that strict action would be taken against the offender.
