RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police have identified the man who was discovered dead with a gunshot wound on Bethel Street in Richmond. The victim has been named as 46-year-old Eric Jackson.

On Saturday, June 22, at 3:44 a.m., Richmond Police officers responded to a call regarding a shooting in the 2300 block of Bethel Street in the Whitcomb Court neighbourhood. Upon arrival, they found Jackson lying unresponsive on the porch of a residence. He had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
