The Arrest of Delain Taylor in Jasper

On a Sunday morning, the Jasper Police Department received a distress call from a female victim in the 600 Block of Giesler Road. The victim reported being strangled and threatened with a firearm. The officers rushed to the scene and found the female victim in an adjacent parking lot. She informed the officers that the male suspect, identified as 27-year-old Delain Taylor of Jasper, was still inside the apartment with two small children, refusing to leave.

Acting swiftly, the JPD deployed a drone to survey the situation. After confirming the presence of Taylor and the children inside the apartment, the officers managed to persuade Taylor to come out peacefully. The two small children were found unharmed.

Taylor was subsequently taken into custody and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center. He is now facing multiple charges, including:
