Suspect arrested in shooting incident in Tennessee

Authorities in Spindale, N.C. have apprehended a suspect believed to be responsible for a shooting that took place in the early hours of Thursday morning. The incident occurred at around 1 a.m. on June 20 in the vicinity of Main Street and Steward Street, as reported by the Spindale Police Department.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered a man who had sustained two gunshot wounds. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he is currently in stable condition.
The alleged perpetrator, identified as 20-year-old William Drake Church, was located and apprehended on Saturday in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Investigators managed to establish contact with Church via phone, persuading him to secure his firearm in a safe location and await the arrival of law enforcement personnel.
Subsequently, Gatlinburg Police responded to the call and successfully took Church into custody, recovering the weapon in the process. The suspect is currently awaiting extradition to North Carolina to face charges related to the shooting incident.
