Vishal : “Double homicide in Delhi for revenge”

NEW DELHI: A tragic incident unfolded in northwest Delhi’s Jailer Wala Bagh as a group seeking revenge for a previous altercation at a swimming pool found themselves on the receiving end of a deadly attack. The altercation resulted in the fatal stabbing of two individuals, including a juvenile. The victims were identified as 19-year-old Vishal and a 17-year-old boy, as confirmed by the police.

The violent incident took place at around 10 pm on a Saturday night. The police were alerted at 11 pm and immediately dispatched a team to the scene. Despite their efforts, both Vishal and the juvenile victim succumbed to their injuries after being rushed to the hospital.

Investigations revealed that the roots of the tragedy lay in a confrontation between Vishal’s friend and two individuals at a swimming pool in Shalimar Bagh. The simmering tensions between the two groups, who were neighbours, escalated into a violent clash triggered by the earlier incident at the pool.

According to police reports, Vishal and his associates arrived in the area to seek revenge on the two brothers involved in the swimming pool altercation. However, the situation quickly spiralled out of control as the opposing group had superior numbers and retaliated with force.

During the altercation, Vishal and the 17-year-old boy, accompanied by a few friends, assaulted the brothers at their residence. This led to a rapid escalation of violence as the brothers called for backup, resulting in a full-blown clash between the two factions.

Tragically, the confrontation culminated in Vishal and the juvenile sustaining grave injuries, with members of the rival group inflicting multiple stab wounds on them before fleeing the scene. The police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the IPC and have detained several suspects for questioning in connection with the incident.

This senseless act of violence has left a community in shock and mourning the loss of two young lives. The authorities are working diligently to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure that such tragic incidents do not recur.
