23rd June 2024 – (Hong Kong) In Kwai Chung, a heartbreaking discovery was made at Hiu Kwai House, Kwai Chung Estate, Castle Peak Road. An 83-year-old woman named Tang was found unconscious in her unit by a concerned resident on the evening of the 22nd of June. Emergency services arrived promptly, but unfortunately, the woman had already passed away. A suicide note was discovered at the scene, although further investigation is required to determine the exact cause of death.

Meanwhile, in Tsing Yi, another distressing incident shook the community. Early this morning, a hiker stumbled upon a tragic scene along the Tsing Yi Nature Trails. A man was found hanging from a rope in a pavilion, prompting a swift response from rescue teams. Despite their efforts to save him, the 37-year-old man, identified as Lee, was pronounced dead at the scene. While personal belongings and identification were found nearby, no suicide note was recovered. Initial findings suggest financial troubles may have contributed to the man’s decision, pending official confirmation through a post-mortem examination.

Further Tragedy Strikes in Hung Yiu House, Hung Hom Estate

Shortly after the Tsing Yi incident, another harrowing event unfolded at Hung Yiu House, Hung Hom Estate, 9 Dyer Avenue, Tai Wan. An elderly woman, identified as 74-year-old Leung, fell from a high location onto a rooftop canopy, sustaining severe injuries. Despite being rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for urgent medical care, she tragically did not survive. A suicide note was discovered at the scene, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her fall.
