A 21-year-old woman is facing charges after a tragic incident in Alamance County, where four individuals were struck by a car, resulting in the death of one person. The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) reported that the driver, identified as Tamyiah Lakerria Anderson, has been arrested in connection with the case.
Details of the Incident
The incident occurred on Friday, just before 10:50 p.m., on the 2400 block of East Simpson Road in Green Level. NC Highway Patrol deputies and troopers responded to a crash at the scene, where they found four individuals who had been struck by a vehicle.
According to witnesses, Anderson drove to a residence on East Simpson Road, where a physical altercation ensued. Following the altercation, Anderson allegedly got into her car and intentionally hit the four victims. Tragically, 22-year-old Brendy Janet Garcia Resendiz was killed as a result of the incident, while another victim sustained serious injuries. Two other victims suffered minor injuries in the collision.
Charges Filed Against Anderson
Both the ACSO and NCSHP have charged Anderson with several offences in relation to the incident. The charges filed against her include:

- 1 count of Possession of an open container of alcohol

- 1 count of Seat belt violation
As a result of the charges filed against her, Anderson has been denied bail and remains in custody. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the case.
