Accident – Death – Obituary News : KANCHANABURI: Tragedy struck in the early hours of Sunday morning when a well-known restaurateur and his girlfriend lost their lives in a horrific road accident. The couple, identified as Sitthipong Boonkerd, 28, the owner of Krua Ban Ban eatery in tambon Nong Khao, and his girlfriend Arisa Nakpinpat, 26, were travelling on Highway 324 (Kanchanaburi-Uthong) in Ban Huai Talung village of tambon Nong Khao in Tha Muang district when their silver Isuzu D-Max pickup truck collided with a roadside power pole.

The impact of the crash was so severe that the engine of the vehicle was ejected, and the truck itself was wrapped around the pole. The scene of the accident was a grim sight, with the mangled wreckage of the pickup truck and the engine lying about 20 metres away. It was evident that the couple had died instantly upon impact.

Eyewitnesses, including one individual who identified himself as Krishnai, reported that the pickup truck had been overtaking vehicles at high speed before losing control at a slight bend on the highway. The eyewitness accounts and the evidence at the scene led the police to believe that the driver had applied the brakes too late, causing the vehicle to veer off course and collide with the pole.
