Residents in a North York neighbourhood raised concerns about drug use and trafficking, prompting Toronto police to take action. Following community complaints, officers from 31 Division conducted an investigation in the area of Jane Street and Wilson Avenue.

During a routine foot patrol, officers stumbled upon three individuals in a garage unit that did not belong to them. To their surprise, a loaded firearm, identified as a Smith and Wesson 9mm with 13 rounds of 9mm Luger ammunition, was found in close proximity to the suspects.

While two of the men cooperated with the authorities and were arrested without any resistance, the third suspect attempted to evade capture and led officers on a brief foot chase before being apprehended.
