Lance Mitchell Riely : “Pennsylvania State Police Investigate Franklin County Murder”

GREENE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) – Pennsylvania State Police in Franklin County are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident that occurred overnight in Greene Township.

According to State Police officials, on the evening of June 22, Troopers received a distressing report of a shooting in the 3700 block of Mountain Shadow Drive. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered an individual inside a vehicle in the middle of the road. Despite their efforts to provide aid, the victim was sadly pronounced deceased shortly thereafter.

Further investigation revealed that there were individuals inside a nearby residence. Authorities were able to safely evacuate two juveniles and a 30-year-old man identified as Anthony Jalil Henderson from the property.

State Police have reported that a verbal altercation between Henderson and the victim, 33-year-old Lance Mitchell Riely, escalated to a tragic conclusion, with Riely succumbing to a fatal gunshot wound.

Henderson has been formally charged with first and third-degree murder, in addition to firearm and drug-related offenses.

At present, authorities have assured the public that there is no imminent threat to safety in the area.
