He described the heart-wrenching scene of a 3-year-old boy playing on his tricycle with his 7-year-old sister by his side when gunfire suddenly erupted, forever changing their lives.
Authorities praised the prompt response of the officers to the shooting, commending their quick arrival at the scene. Erie County District Attorney Michael Keane spoke about the mother of the children, a respected member of the community actively involved in Most Valuable Parents, a local organisation dedicated to enhancing safety in Buffalo. Keane emphasised the mother’s commitment to keeping children safe and the profound impact this tragedy has had on her family.
As of Sunday afternoon, police have not disclosed any identified persons of interest in connection with the shooting.
