Authorities in Nashville, Tennessee, apprehended a man on Wednesday for public indecency after he was discovered naked inside a bar located in Downtown Nashville, as per an official arrest report.
Officers from the Metro Nashville Police Department were summoned to 317 Broadway following a burglary alarm activation.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers observed the rear entrance to the bar ajar, with property strewn about and various items vandalized. Notably, a soda fountain and cash register system were among the damaged items, as detailed in the report.
An employee recounted encountering the disarray and stumbling upon a nude individual pilfering liquor from the bar, the report indicated.
Subsequently, officers encountered the individual, identified as 61-year-old John Fowler, as he attempted to re-enter the premises via the rear patio.
Authorities described Fowler as being partially unclothed, with a bar apron draped over his lower body to conceal his genitals.
Security camera footage reviewed by officers illustrated Fowler’s arrival at the establishment shortly before 6 a.m.
Shortly after 6 a.m., Fowler purportedly employed a makeshift tool to force open the rear door and gain entry into the bar.
Reportedly, Fowler spent only a brief period inside the bar before being discovered by a staff member.
As a result of his actions, Fowler faces charges of vandalism, public indecency, and burglary.
