LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The tragic mass shooting outside the Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce has left a community in mourning as the three victims have been identified.
On Friday, the first victim was identified as 23-year-old nurse Callie Weems, who tragically left behind a 10-month-old daughter. Weems worked at the Dallas County Medical Center and was beloved by her colleagues and patients.
Another victim identified in the shooting is 63-year-old Shirley Kay Taylor, a beloved member of the community. Taylor’s daughter took to Facebook to share memories of her mother and seek donations for her burial expenses.

The third victim, 50-year-old Roy Sturgis from Kingsland, was also identified. Sturgis is being remembered for his bravery and sacrifice, with prayers being offered for his daughter Hanna.
