PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A Phoenix business was left in shambles after a driver ploughed through the front entrance in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident occurred around 2:40 a.m. when authorities received reports of a collision at a strip mall located near 49th Avenue and Bell Road.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found the driver, identified as 32-year-old Alexandria Montgomery, and a passenger had crashed into a Harbor Freight store.

Fortunately, neither Montgomery nor her passenger sustained serious injuries in the crash.

Following the incident, Montgomery was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. She was issued a ticket instead of being detained and was released from custody once the DUI processing was completed.

Crews from Arizona’s Family witnessed significant damage to the store’s front windows, with shattered glass strewn across the sidewalk.

Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
