(KRON) – Law enforcement officials in San Francisco have apprehended a suspect on murder charges in connection with a fatal shooting incident that took place on Friday evening, as confirmed by the San Francisco Police Department.
Details of the Crime
On Friday at 7:13 p.m., the San Francisco police received a distress call regarding a shooting incident in the 1200 block of Mission Street. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was rushed to a nearby medical facility, where they unfortunately succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead.
Arrest of the Suspect
Following an intensive investigation, law enforcement officers managed to locate a suspect at the Civic Center BART station who matched the description provided. During the suspect’s apprehension, a firearm was found in their possession. The police were informed that the suspect had pursued the victim while discharging multiple rounds.
Identifying the Suspect
The individual taken into custody has been identified as Adam Masaed, a 35-year-old male. Masaed was promptly booked into San Francisco County Jail on charges of unlawful killing of a human being with malice aforethought and willful discharge of a firearm in a grossly negligent manner.
