The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois recently made an arrest following a routine traffic stop that uncovered non-compliance with sex offender registration laws. The incident occurred last Tuesday night in the vicinity of Illinois Route 13 and Shawnee Trail near Carterville.
Deputies on patrol noticed a vehicle committing a traffic violation at approximately 10:40 p.m. They pulled over the vehicle and engaged with the driver, who was later identified as Timothy L. Holmes.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Holmes was not adhering to the requirements of his sex offender registration. As a result, he was promptly cited for violation of the sex offender registry and taken into custody at the Williamson County Jail.
