YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. – A woman is in jail after stabbing her father and mother multiple times, leaving both of them hospitalized in the Village of Oak Creek, south of Sedona.
The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Lauren Levinson, was apprehended by law enforcement officers after they discovered her outside the residence where the violent incident took place.
Authorities responded to a distress call at the property on Coffee Pot Rock Road at approximately 5:30 a.m., just moments before finding the injured parents inside the house, as per an official statement.

The mother sustained severe stab wounds to her back and was airlifted to a nearby trauma center for urgent medical attention.
Levinson’s brother, who was present at the scene after being contacted by one of the victims for assistance, collaborated with law enforcement personnel to wrap his mother’s torso, ensuring the proper functioning of her lungs, according to the press release.
The father of the suspect suffered multiple stab wounds to his arms and was transported via ambulance to a medical facility for treatment.
At present, there is no update available on the condition of either victim.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office has initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the motive behind the violent attack.
