Kenton Smith : “3 Arrested for Stealing Police Cars”

Accident – Death – Obituary News : FAIRFAX, Va. — The Fairfax Police Department has released images of the suspects who were inside a stolen vehicle at the Fair Oaks Mall. The incident occurred on June 21 at around 11:35 a.m. when officers responded to a report of a stolen 2010 Toyota Corolla near the mall. Upon arrival, officers found the stolen vehicle parked at the mall with three individuals inside.

According to police reports, one of the suspects, identified as Kenton Smith, 46, of no fixed address, attempted to exit the stolen vehicle when approached by an officer. Another suspect, identified as Eric Gutierrez, 30, of Ashland, then exited the stolen vehicle and proceeded to steal the officer’s cruiser.

A brief pursuit ensued as Gutierrez failed to comply with officers’ commands, resulting in a collision with two additional police cruisers. Following the crash, Gutierrez was apprehended and taken into custody. Both Gutierrez and two police officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.

Gutierrez has been charged with two counts of Grand Larceny – Auto Theft, Grand Larceny, and Felony Speed to Elude. He was also served with two outstanding warrants and is currently being held without bond at the Adult Detention Center. A mugshot of Gutierrez will be provided by the police in due course.

The two other suspects, Kenton Smith and Natrua Mayfield-Jackson, 28, of Maryland, were also taken into custody at the mall. Natrua was served with two outstanding warrants and is being held without bond at the Adult Detention Center. Kenton, on the other hand, has been charged with Unauthorized Use and Grand Larceny. He is being held on a $4,000 secured bond at the Adult Detention Center.
