NORWALK, CT (WFSB) – A 59-year-old woman tragically lost her life after being struck by a vehicle on Riverside Avenue in Norwalk on Friday morning.
The incident took place at 81 Riverside Avenue, where emergency services were called at 9:20 a.m. Norwalk Police, Fire, and Hospital Emergency Medical Service responded swiftly to the scene.
The victim, identified as Kathleen Quigley-Cutting, 59, received immediate medical attention from firefighters before being rushed to Norwalk Hospital. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
The Norwalk Police Department’s Crime Scene Unit and Crash Reconstruction Investigators are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic accident.
Officer Taylor Equi, the lead Crash Reconstruction Investigator, is urging anyone with pertinent information about the incident to come forward and contact the Norwalk Police Department at 203-854-3051.
