Accident – Death – Obituary News : A tragic incident unfolded in Kandivali West on Friday, resulting in the death of a 65-year-old woman and injuries to two other individuals. The identity of the deceased woman has not yet been confirmed, but the injured victims have been identified as Prawashkumar Baral, a 36-year-old plumber, and Saurav Kumar Yadav, a 19-year-old student, both residents of Kandivali East. The Kandivali police have taken action against Surendra Gupta and Rajendra Gupta for their alleged involvement in the accident, with charges of intent to cause death or physical injury being brought against them.
The incident took place at approximately 10:45 am on Friday near Fair Green Society on Poisar Gaondevi Road in Kandivali West. A white WagonR car bearing the registration number MH 04 LQ 2199 struck an elderly woman who was walking along the road. Shockingly, the driver of the car did not stop after hitting the woman, and instead continued driving. The vehicle then collided with Prawashkumar Baral and Saurav Kumar Yadav, causing injuries to all three individuals involved.
The woman suffered severe head injuries as a result of the collision, while the man and the boy sustained injuries to their hands and legs. The driver of the car, identified as 30-year-old businessman Surendra Gupta from Kandivali West, was accompanied by his associate Rajendra Gupta, a 26-year-old driver from Kandivali East. Surendra, who did not possess a valid driving license, claimed that he inadvertently pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, leading to the tragic chain of events.
A senior police officer commented on the situation, stating, “Surendra Gupta was unlicensed and inexperienced in driving, with Rajendra Gupta taking on the role of teacher. This tragic incident occurred as a result of reckless actions and negligence on their part. Serious charges have been filed against Surendra in light of these circumstances.”
The authorities are continuing their investigation into the accident, and measures are being taken to hold those responsible for the tragic loss of life and injuries to account.
