Authorities have identified the two drivers who tragically lost their lives in a late-night crash in Chandler, Arizona.
The fatal incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Armstrong Place and Price Road. Chandler police responded to the scene and discovered both drivers deceased in their respective vehicles.
The driver of the Nissan has been identified as 38-year-old Nick Vasquez from Casa Grande, Arizona, while the driver of the Ford SUV was identified as Sameera Vishwanath from Newark, California.
According to authorities, Vasquez was travelling south on Price Road when he lost control of his vehicle, resulting in a collision with Vishwanath’s SUV.
Following the crash, detectives were called in to investigate, leading to the closure of the intersection for several hours.
Chandler PD has stated that they are currently looking into various factors, including speed, impairment, and other possible causes of the accident. Detectives are working diligently to determine the reason behind Vasquez’s loss of control.
