A tragic incident unfolded in Long Beach this week as a woman was shot to death, as reported by the Long Beach Police Department.
The incident took place at around 3:25 p.m. on Wednesday in the 2300 block of Locust Avenue. The Long Beach Police were called to assist the Long Beach Fire Department, who were responding to a woman in cardiac arrest.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found the woman with multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body. The victim has been identified as 43-year-old Myriam Zaragoza. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation Underway
Homicide detectives are now leading the investigation into the woman’s death. At present, no details have been released regarding the suspect, motive, or circumstances surrounding the incident.
