Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A 20-year-old girl who had successfully cleared the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) found herself at the receiving end of a cruel scam orchestrated by four individuals running a counselling firm in the national capital. The firm, which purportedly helped students secure admissions in various colleges, has now come under scrutiny for alleged fraudulent activities.

The incident came to light when the victim, identified as Manviraj, approached the police on June 14 to report the cheating. However, the accused individuals are currently on the run, leaving a trail of deception in their wake.

According to the details outlined in the FIR, Manviraj reached out to a counselling service through Just Dial on November 11, 2022. Subsequently, she was contacted by a woman named Priya claiming to represent the firm known as CAREERSPOOL Pvt Ltd. Priya instructed Manviraj to share her documents via WhatsApp for further assistance in college admissions.

By November 15, Manviraj had received detailed fee structures of various colleges from Priya. The victim and her mother were lured with the promise of securing a spot at Subharti Medical College in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. To initiate the process, they were asked to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,00,000, out of which Manviraj managed to transfer Rs 90,000 through Paytm on November 19, 2022.

As the interactions progressed, Manviraj ended up transferring a total of Rs 2,00,000 to CAREERSPOOL Pvt Ltd. To add a layer of legitimacy, Priya assured her of sending a cheque and a tax invoice, which were collected by an Uber driver sent by Manviraj.

Despite fulfilling the financial obligations, Manviraj encountered verification issues at the Government Institution of Medical Sciences in Noida. On December 16, 2022, Priya demanded an additional Rs 4,00,000 in cash, citing it as a mandatory requirement for admission. This sudden demand put immense pressure on Manviraj’s parents, leading them to mortgage their DDA flat to raise the required funds.

On the following day, they handed over Rs 2,00,000 in cash to Abhishek Pathak, who assured them that the admission process would proceed smoothly with the allotted letter provided. However, upon reaching Subharti Medical College, they were met with a shocking revelation-the letter turned out to be counterfeit. To their dismay, upon returning to the CAREERSPOOL office, they found it abandoned and devoid of any traces of the accused.
