Accident – Death – Obituary News :
A man has been taken into custody and charged in connection with the tragic death of a woman in Sicamous, British Columbia.
Authorities from the Sicamous RCMP were called to the scene after receiving a distress call from the B.C. Ambulance Service regarding an unresponsive woman discovered in the driveway of a mobile home unit located at 1707 Hillier Road at approximately 4:48 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19.
While paramedics were administering medical aid to the woman upon the arrival of the police, their efforts were sadly in vain as the woman, identified as 66-year-old Jo Ann Jackson, was pronounced dead at the scene.
In response to the severity of the incident, the Southeast District Major Crime Unit assumed control of the investigation. Subsequently, on Thursday, June 20, a male suspect was apprehended and formally charged with manslaughter in connection to the untimely demise of Jo Ann Jackson.
