Henry County, Indiana — A woman in Henry County is facing serious charges after allegedly causing a disturbance at a local campground. Court documents reveal that Jewelle A. Crawford, a 55-year-old Anderson resident, was arrested and charged with felony intimidation with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct for loud noise at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Knightstown.

According to reports, Crawford was accused of creating a chaotic scene at the campground after being asked to lower the volume of her music. Witnesses stated that she became aggressive and began threatening families, including a child, with a large knife.

Deputies from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the situation after receiving multiple calls from concerned park visitors. Upon arrival, they found Crawford in a car with two juveniles. She claimed that she had the knife to cut firewood and was involved in an argument with another camper.

One witness reported that Crawford became verbally abusive and brandished the knife when asked to turn down her music. She allegedly made threatening remarks towards other campers, including threatening to harm a woman with the knife.

During the incident, Crawford reportedly used derogatory language towards the families at the campground, calling them names and making offensive remarks about their children. She also allegedly made threatening gestures towards a child, causing fear and distress.
