WILDWOOD CREST, NJ – A 43-year-old woman is facing charges after police say she caused a disturbance at a motel pool in Wildwood Crest on Monday.
Authorities were called to the scene at a motel in the 6200 block of Ocean Avenue around 2:30 p.m. following reports of a fight in progress.
Witnesses at the scene described a chaotic situation involving a highly intoxicated woman, later identified as Fallan Turner, who was allegedly behaving erratically in the pool area.
According to reports, Turner grabbed a 10-year-old boy and began swinging him around in the pool, putting the child in danger by dunking him underwater. The boy’s father attempted to intervene, but Turner reportedly assaulted him by jumping on his back and behaving inappropriately.
Police officers arrived on the scene and attempted to calm the situation, but Turner became increasingly aggressive and uncooperative. She was subsequently arrested for her behaviour.
Charges and Consequences
Turner now faces multiple charges, including endangering the welfare of children, aggravated assault on law enforcement, resisting arrest with force, criminal sexual contact, failure to allow fingerprinting, harassment, and disorderly conduct.
Following her arrest, Turner was taken to the Cape May County Correctional Facility for processing. Despite her actions, the officers involved in the incident did not sustain significant injuries.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident and ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
