Stacy Lee Drake : “Man Charged in OK Double Homicide”

An attorney in Sequoyah County District Court has filed murder charges against an Alabama man accused of killing two individuals in Gans, Oklahoma. Stacy Lee Drake, aged 50, was arrested in Morrilton after a multi-day search.

Drake now faces charges of two counts of first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon in relation to the incident.

The victims have been identified as Tara Underwood and Taylor Sharp in the court filing.

The Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the situation on June 18 when Underwood’s fiancé discovered the bodies of Underwood and Sharp at LaFerry’s in Gans.

Following the discovery, the SCSO sought assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations (OSBI) to investigate the double homicide.

Court documents reveal that OSBI agents reviewed surveillance footage from the business, which showed a white man, later identified as Drake, entering LaFerry’s between 2:49 p.m. and 3:05 p.m.

After leaving the premises, Drake allegedly drove away in Underwood’s vehicle, and no other individual was seen at the location until Underwood’s fiancé arrived.

The missing vehicle was later located at a motel in Morrilton, where Drake was captured on security cameras wearing the same clothes and gloves as seen in the Gans surveillance footage.

According to reports, Drake presented an Alabama driver’s license at the Morrilton motel.

Drake is reportedly linked to a total of four homicides. Apart from the Gans incident, he is also connected to a homicide investigation in El Reno, Oklahoma, where 56-year-old Phillip Emerson was found dead at a residence on June 14.

Furthermore, Drake has been tied to a homicide investigation in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, involving the death of 62-year-old Russell Thomas Andrews outside an Alcoholics Anonymous building on May 14.
