In a tragic incident that shook the community, Luke Truesdell, 34, has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder in connection to a quadruple murder that took place in Linn County earlier this month. The incident occurred at a rural Marion home on June 5, where Truesdell allegedly beat the four victims with a metal pipe.

The victims, identified as 44-year-old Romondus Cooper, 26-year-old Keonna Ryan, 33-year-old Amanda Parker, and 34-year-old Brent Brown, suffered severe injuries in the attack. Three of them tragically lost their lives at the scene, while the fourth victim succumbed to their injuries at a hospital a few days later.

Truesdell appeared in court on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to the charges. He also exercised his right to a speedy trial, leading to a jury trial being scheduled for September 3, 2024, at the Linn County Courthouse.
