Kenner police arrest man accused of hit-and-run near airport

The Kenner Police Department has successfully made an apprehension in connection with a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Wednesday night in close proximity to the New Orleans International Airport. Reports indicate that officers were dispatched to the scene in the 500 block of Interstate 10 and Loyola Drive following the hit-and-run incident. Upon their arrival, they discovered a victim who had been inspecting her vehicle on the side of the road after an earlier collision.

During the inspection of her vehicle, the victim informed law enforcement that a passing vehicle had collided with her, resulting in a significant head injury. Witnesses in the victim’s vehicle corroborated the account, stating that the individual responsible for the collision was operating a white sedan. The sedan was last spotted departing from the airport in the 500 block of I-10.

The suspect, later identified as Jay Gordon, a 20-year-old resident of New Orleans, was subsequently stopped by authorities and taken into custody. Gordon is now facing multiple charges, including hit-and-run, driving without a valid license, driving without insurance, and two additional municipal attachments from other agencies.

Following the traffic stop, the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Jay Gordon from New Orleans, was placed under arrest.

Upon arrival, they found a victim who had been standing on the shoulder of the road examining her car after an accident.

While inspecting her vehicle, the victim reported to the police that a passing vehicle had collided with her, resulting in a significant head injury.

Witnesses in the victim’s car informed the police that the individual responsible for the collision was driving a white sedan. The sedan was last seen driving away from the airport in the 500 block of I-10.

The suspect, later identified as Jay Gordon, a 20-year-old resident of New Orleans, was pulled over by the police and taken into custody.

Gordon is now facing charges of hit-and-run, driving without a valid license, driving without insurance, and two municipal attachments from other agencies.
