A 27-year-old man with no fixed address, Benjamin Hirtle, was taken into custody on Tuesday on charges of attempting to coerce two juveniles into performing sexual acts last week in Hingham.
Hirtle has been charged with two counts of enticing a child under the age of 16 following reports from the juveniles on June 13. According to Hingham Police, the incident took place at Bathing Beach, where Hirtle allegedly approached the minors and made inappropriate requests.
After receiving the report, authorities quickly obtained an arrest warrant for Hirtle. He was arrested without any resistance and appeared in Hingham District Court for arraignment.
Further details about the case were not immediately disclosed by the police.
