CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — Fatal ATV Collision Claims Life of Upper Marlboro Man
A tragic incident unfolded on the night of Sunday, June 17, resulting in the death of 29-year-old Ronald Hayes, Jr., a resident of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The fatal accident, involving an ATV and a pickup truck, occurred around 10:00 PM on the 7500 block of Walker Mill Road in Capitol Heights.
Upon arrival at the scene, emergency responders found Hayes critically injured. Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to a nearby hospital. Additionally, an adult female passenger on the ATV suffered severe injuries during the collision.
The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Initial reports suggest that the ATV and pickup truck collided in the eastbound lane of Walker Mill Road. Fortunately, the driver of the pickup truck emerged unscathed from the accident.
