In a recent incident on June 17, 2024, Rusk County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Shift C responded to a call regarding two individuals behaving erratically at the intersection of FM 782 and FM 1716 in Rusk County, Texas.
Upon arriving at the scene, authorities identified the individuals as 38-year-old Rikki Ramirez and 38-year-old Cameron Spears, both residents of Gladewater. Upon further investigation, the officers discovered that Ramirez and Spears were in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
Both Ramirez and Spears were promptly taken into custody and transported to the Rusk County Jail. They have been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 (Methamphetamine). In addition to the drug possession charges, Spears was also charged with Fail to Identify and was served with out-of-county warrants for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
Following their arrest, bonds were set for Ramirez and Spears. Ramirez’s bond was set at $7,500, while Spears received bonds totaling $46,000. The bonds were set by Justice of the Peace Pct #5 Jana Enloe. As of the latest update, both individuals remain incarcerated in the Rusk County Jail.
