Nicholas Giroux : “Man Charged in Boxer Shooting – Odenton Tragedy”

Authorities in Anne Arundel County have charged a man in connection with the tragic shooting of a boxer in Odenton on Monday night. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Isaiah Olugbemi, was found on Meadowmist Way at Stehlik Drive after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds.

Olugbemi was rushed to shock trauma where he was sadly pronounced dead. After further investigation, his death was determined to be a homicide. Detectives reviewing video surveillance footage observed a white male, later identified as Nicholas Giroux of Odenton, approaching Olugbemi with a handgun and firing multiple shots before fleeing the scene on foot.

Following an interview with Giroux on June 18, he confessed to the murder. As a result, Giroux has been charged with first and second degree murder in connection with the incident.
